B4. SCOPE OF WORKB4.1 This is a design-build contract. The Work to be done under the Project shall consist of design and construction of a modular fire paramedic station and associated site development, including:(a) Design, construction, transportation, installation and connection of a 4,000-5,000 SF modular building; and(b) Design and construction of an approximately one (1) acre site, including building foundation, drainage, underground utilities, soft and hard landscaping, and new concrete and asphalt paving.B4.2 The Contractor’s responsibilities in respect to this design-build Project are expected to include:(a) Providing overall project management services to manage and control cost, quality, schedule and safety, contract and subcontract management, and risk management, and well as providing systems for document control, progress monitoring and progress reporting;(b) Providing design services for all aspects of the Project, including the modular building and site services;(c) Procurement of a modular building;(d) Procurement of materials and equipment (including standardized instrumentation and control equipment from City pre-selected suppliers), construction / installation, subcontracting;(e) Providing construction management and supervision of trade labour, construction equipment and the procurement and logistics of materials and equipment for the construction;(f) Providing testing, start-up and commissioning services for equipment and systems, performance guarantee testing, and commissioning of the Project to meet all Functional Requirements; and(g) Providing operation and maintenance manuals, including manuals and data for the City asset management system together with operator and maintenance training for City staff to facility ongoing operations and maintenance;B4.3 The Consultant’s responsibilities in respect to this Project are expected to include:(a) providing professional services for planning, engineering, design, surveying, permitting, site investigations and technical support.(b) Designs must be certified by an architect and professional engineers, all registered and licensed to practice in the Province of Manitoba.
